On the topic of pointe shoes, I did research to, uncover the subject's significance, its origins, and its function. From this research I created copy, approximately 300 words in length, and used this text as the basis to illustrate—with original and found imagery—my story or visual narrative. The final form being a booklet of 4 spreads incorporating a cover/back cover, one spread for the significance, one spread for its origins, and one spread for its function within the culture in which it exists.
